Flag Raising and Awards Ceremony

On Monday 02 July 2018

  • At 10.30 a.m., there will be the Victorian flag raising ceremony and the re-enactment of Governor Latrobe’s reading of the proclamation at the Melbourne Town Hall. 
  • At 11.00 a.m. the Victoria Day Awards will be presented in the Lower Town Hall. 
  • At 12.00 pm, there will be a Reception in the Portico Room.  

Attendance at the flag raising and Award Ceremony is free.  The Reception will cost $15.00 per person. Online booking preferred

Separation Anniversary Dinner and La Trobe Lecture - 2018

On Saturday 21 July 2018 at 7.00 p.m. we will be holding the 2018 Separation Anniversary Dinner and La Trobe Lecture at the Kelvin Club, 14-30 Melbourne Place, Melbourne.

The lecturer this year is Mike Brady, the 2017 Victorian of the Year, a renowned singer-songwriter and well-loved Victorian.

Separation Proclamation - 15 November


15 November (or as close to that date as possible) sees us celebrate the day that the proclamation of Victoria's separation from New South Wales arrived from London. A function commemorating this important is held at the Separation Tree in the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne.
